Cullen International’s latest benchmark shows that nine of the 13 studied MENA countries assigned spectrum at least once using a competitive process (an auction or a beauty contest).
The benchmark also shows that three countries (Egypt, Lebanon and Türkiye) do not impose annual spectrum usage fees.

Our benchmark on mobile spectrum fees in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) shows the procedure to award spectrum, and also the spectrum usage fees per MHz for mobile spectrum bands in use.
