ANALYST – EU ENVIRONMENTAL LEGISLATION
Cullen International is the leading provider of regulatory and competition law intelligence in telecoms, media, postal and the digital economy - covering developments across Europe, Americas, the Middle East and North Africa, as well as key trends across the globe. The growing volume and importance of environmental legislation is affecting and influencing market players and regulators across all of these digital and communications sectors, as well as across industry and society more widely.

To build on our sustainability intelligence for clients, we are recruiting a talented individual, who can track, analyse and provide political insight into EU policy and legislative developments on the environment. You should have an existing network of relevant contacts, as well as the confidence to develop new relationships and to promote our services with clients and prospects. You should have previous knowledge of and interest in environmental legislation and policy making.
Your responsibilities will include :
  • closely monitoring and reporting on EU political and legislative developments on the environment
  • authoring detailed written reports that track, summarise and explain the impact of legislative developments on industry, including in particular on players in the telecommunications and other communications sectors
  • providing formal and informal briefings to clients and colleagues
  • being Cullen’s in-house expert on EU environmental legislation
  • promoting Cullen International and marketing its services to clients and prospects
  • answering enquiries from clients in industry and regulatory authorities
In order to apply, you must have :
  • a minimum of five years’ experience of working on EU legislation
  • excellent interpersonal skills and the capability to build / develop contact networks
  • confident manner and very strong presentation skills
  • ability to write and speak clearly and to the point about technical and complex issues
  • willingness to travel
  • demonstrable knowledge of and interest in environmental legislation
  • a university degree in a relevant subject
  • fluency in written and spoken English

SENIOR ANALYST – TELECOMMUNICATIONS
Cullen International is the leading provider of regulatory information in the communications sector, serving over 270 key market players and public organisations internationally.
We are recruiting a talented individual to our telecommunication team that follows, analyses and explains EU and national telecoms regulation. You should have proven knowledge of and experience with the European regulatory framework on electronic communications.
Your responsibilities will include :
  • monitoring and reporting on EU and national political and regulatory developments of electronic communications regulation
  • developing new research
  • answering enquiries from clients in industry and regulatory authorities
  • providing formal and informal briefings to clients and colleagues
  • promoting Cullen International and marketing its services to clients and prospects
In order to apply, you must have :
  • a minimum of five years’ experience of working in an EU regulatory/public policy role in the telecoms sector
  • excellent interpersonal skills and the capability to actively build a network among policymakers and stakeholders in Brussels.
  • confident manner and very strong presentation skills

  • strong project management skills
  • ability to take responsibility for developing new research
  • willingness to travel
  • demonstrable knowledge of the European regulatory framework on electronic communications
