In preparation of the Council of the EU’s position on the evaluation and review of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Council published a document listing comments made by 19 member states.
By 25 May 2020, the Commission must submit a report on the evaluation and review of the GDPR to Council and Parliament. In doing so, the Commission must take Council and Parliament's views into account.
Ahead of the 2020 review of the GDPR, Cullen International has published a report summarising EU member states’ experience implementing the Regulation.
The report also summarises EU member states’ suggestions regarding key aspects of the GDPR where further work is needed.
