On 20 March 2019, Google received its third major antitrust fine (€1.49bn) from the European Commission over the last two years, this time in relation to an abuse of dominance in the online search advertising intermediation market.
Leaving aside the interesting legal considerations involved in these cases, they made the headlines because of the staggering size of the fines.
