Cullen International has published a new benchmark mapping policy initiatives specifically targeting online platforms in 14 European countries.
Most of the initiatives are aimed at combatting illegal and harmful content online.
For instance, in Germany, the Federal government has presented a draft law obliging online platforms such as social networks and video sharing platforms to remove illegal hate speech and fake news within 24 hours.
This new benchmark has been published in the scope of our European Digital Economy service.
