Media for Good and for Everyone 29 March 23 | Brussels, Belgium

REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT IS NOW CLOSED - Join us at the EPRA-Cullen International conference to explore how to ensure sustainable media in the age of social media, with a focus on financing, online platforms presence, the future of the EU Audiovisual Media Services Directive and the forthcoming European Media Freedom Act.

This event has passed

The conference discussed with the help of critical thinkers, policymakers, industry and regulators how to ensure sustainable media in the wake of increasing content consumption through social media.

Three aspects were discussed in detail:

  • how to ensure the financing of the sector;
  • how to ensure that media is present on online platforms and is viewed by citizens; and
  • what are the premises for good regulatory decisions.

The forthcoming European Media Freedom Act (EMFA) and the future of the EU Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMS) were at the centre of the discussions.

The below report, published by Cullen International provides a summary of the main discussion points of the conference.
