This study provides a comprehensive overview of the evolution of the public service broadcasters (PSBs), their governance (including the oversight of new digital services) and performance measurement models in nine countries: Australia, France, Finland, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the UK.

The study was commissioned by the CRTC in the context of updating the legislation in Canada to develop new adaptable and innovative approaches to regulation.
