Spectrum is a key resource for both traditional and new players in the communications sector. Mobile operators are acquiring more spectrum to deploy 4G and 5G networks and to satisfy the ever-increasing demand for mobile broadband services.
National regulatory authorities in the Americas are making new spectrum bands available for wireless connectivity and are seeking the best auction designs to ensure efficient use of these scarce resources.
To provide clarity and insights on these complex dynamics, Cullen International will launch a new ‘Americas Radio Spectrum’ regulatory intelligence service in the coming months. This service will monitor developments in spectrum policy and spectrum regulation across the Americas and help stakeholders stay on top of national developments in 22 countries.
