New responsibilities for content sharing platforms in the EU 13 June - 14 June 19 | ONLINE

Watch the recording

Content sharing platforms, including certain social media, are becoming subject to strict EU rules which will need to be implemented and enforced at the national level.

Our one-hour free webinar will provide a clear overview of the new regulatory measures that have just been adopted or that are likely to be adopted after the European elections. It will focus on the new responsibilities of platforms in relation to harmful or illegal content uploaded by their users, such as:

  • audiovisual content containing hate speech or that could harm minors;
  • copyright protected works;
  • terrorist content; and
  • fake news

The webinar will provide some background information on the overarching EU rules on the liability of platforms for third party illegal/harmful content and will seek to assess if these recent initiatives are eroding these principles.
