This free regulatory briefing will discuss the potential regulatory challenges brought by the emergence of FAST services and address some of the national regulatory approaches in Europe.

"Free Ad-supported Streaming Services" (FAST) are rapidly entering the market and may be challenging the application of the EU Audiovisual Media Services (AVMS) Directive.

FAST services have blended characteristics some of which may fit with the classification of services in scope of the AVMS Directive while others may not.

Cullen International has invited Anna Herold, from the European Commission DG Connect, to discuss the potential regulatory challenges brought by the emergence of FAST services. The event will also address some of the national regulatory approaches in Europe.
