New benchmark on fake news and hate speech takedown in the Americas 28 December 17

Our latest benchmark shows whether countries in the Americas have adopted regulation or initiatives obliging certain online platforms to remove illegal hate speech and fake news regardless of court orders.

From the researched countries, Chile and Brazil are the only countries where regulatory initiatives have been proposed or adopted to impose takedown obligations.
