New benchmark on national digital economy strategies in the Americas

National Digital Economy Strategies

As the digital economy becomes more important over time, governments have launched plans to foster its development in many countries. Our new benchmark covers whether there is a single, comprehensive national digital economy strategy in the countries surveyed, outlining initiatives addressing topics such as connectivity, cybersecurity, data protection, e-commerce, internet of things and sharing economy.

Among the countries covered by the research, only Brazil, Chile and Mexico have a single, comprehensive digital economy strategy. Argentina, Canada, Colombia and the United States have government plans and initiatives covering specific aspects of the digital economy.

This new benchmark has been published in the scope of our Americas Digital Economy service.
