New benchmark on drone regulation in the Americas: safety, privacy and spectrum issues

Drone regulation

Cullen International has published a new Americas Digital Economy benchmark on "Drone regulation: safety, privacy and spectrum issues”. Our new research looks at the regulation covering the operation of drones, which are becoming increasingly considered for e-commerce delivery.

While regulation to date has focused understandably on the air safety aspects of the operation of drones, the important privacy issues have received relatively less attention. From the countries monitored in the Americas, only Argentina has so far set specific privacy rules for drones equipped with cameras, while the US published a memorandum with non-binding privacy guidelines.

This new benchmark has been published in the scope of our Americas Digital Economy service.
