FCC adopts new customer privacy and data protection framework

The US telecoms regulator, the FCC, has adopted a new privacy and data protection framework, applying privacy requirements to ISPs and giving broadband customers greater control over the use and sharing by ISPs of users’ personal information. The rules notably cover customer consent, data security and data breach notifications.
