the responsibility of the European institutions and associated
committees.
It covers all the regulatory questions that affect media,
including those related to transmission, distribution and
content, for all types of audiovisual services (linear and
non-linear), transmission networks and distribution platforms.
Topics covered include: licensing and authorisation, radio
spectrum, digital switchover, must-carry, conditional access,
media concentration, quotas and investment obligations, advertising,
protection of minors, intellectual property rights including
levies and digital rights management systems (DRMs), right
of reply and state aid.
