Western Europe Electronic Commerce

The service monitors developments in electronic commerce regulation in five Western European countries: France , Germany , Italy , Spain and the UK .

It follows the implementation into national law of EU electronic commerce-related directives as well as other relevant specific national initiatives. Main relevant court decisions are also monitored.

Topics covered include: electronic commerce, electronic signatures, consumer protection, advertising, contract law, electronic payments, VAT, applicable law, dispute resolution, data protection, intellectual property rights, protection of minors, illegal and harmful content, cybercrime and domain names.

Comparative tables benchmarking specific regulatory topics in the five countries. Updated every three months.

Enquiry service
